William De was born in 1155 in Exeter, Devonshire, England.1   William De's father was Baldwin de Reviers , 1st Earl of Devon and his mother was Adelise Lucia De Baalun.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Seigneur de Reviers and Adelise Peverel; his maternal grandparents were Dru De Baalon and Unknown. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard De, Henry De, Hawise De, Matilda (Eva) De, Eva De and Alice De.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 62 on September 8th, 1217 in Christ Church, Exeter, Devonshire, England.  He was buried in Christ Church, Twynham.1
