Ruth was born on December 9th, 1802 in Chatham County, North Carolina.1 Ruth's father was Joshua Newlin and her mother was Achsah Vestal. Her paternal grandparents were Eli Newlin and Sarah Hadley. She was an only child. She died at the age of 64 in 1866 in Marshall, Indiana. She was buried in West edge of Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, Indiana.1 -
