Lord Edmund was born in 1478 in England.  Lord Edmund's father was Thomas, 2nd Duke of Norfolk Howard and his mother was Elizabeth Duchess of Norfolk Tilney.  His paternal grandparents were John Howard Duke of Norfolk and Catherine Mullins Duchess of Norfolk; his maternal grandparents are Sir Frederick, of Boston Tylney and Elizabeth Cheney. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, 3rd Duke of Norfolk, Edward, Lordhigh, Admiral, John, Elizabeth and Muriel. He had thirteen half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named William, Thomas, George, John, Richard, Henry, William, 1st Baron of Effingham, Charles, Edmund, Edward, Henry, Richard, Robert, Catherine, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Anne, Agnes, Anne, Countess of Oxford and Elizabeth, Countess of Sussex.  He died at the age of 60 in March 1538 in Tisbury, Wiltshire, England.

‌Lord Edmund and Lady Joyce Jocosa were married in a religious ceremony in 1515.  They had two sons and five daughters, named Henry, Sir George, Knight, Lady Margaret, Mary, Catherine, Queen of England, Joyce and Isabel.
