Henry I "the Fowler" was born in 0876.  Henry I "the Fowler"'s father was Otto "the Illustrious" von Sachsen Duke of Saxony and his mother was Hedwige of Germany. He had a brother and two sisters, named Liudolf, Thangmar and Oda.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 60 on July 2nd, 0936 in Mensleben, Saxony, Germany.

‌Henry I "the Fowler" and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony in 0909.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Otto I "the Great", Henry I "the Quarrelsome", Bruno "the Great", Hadwig and Gerberge of Saxony.

They had a son named Thankmar.
