Gerberge of Saxony was born in 0913 in Nordhausen, Saxony, Germany.  Gerberge of Saxony's father was Henry I "the Fowler" Holy Roman Emperor and her mother was Matilda von Ringelheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Otto "the Illustrious" von Sachsen Duke of Saxony and Hedwige of Germany; her maternal grandfather was Theudebert von Sachsen Duke of Saxony and her maternal grandmother is Ludmilla Ragnhildis von Friesland. She had three brothers and a sister, named Otto I "the Great", Henry I "the Quarrelsome", Bruno "the Great" and Hadwig.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Thankmar.  She died at the age of 71 on May 5th, 0984 in Reims, Marne, France.  She was buried after May 5th, 0984 in Reims Abbaye, Reims, Marne, France.


Gerberge of Saxony's first family with Giselbert Duke of Lorraine

‌Gerberge of Saxony and Giselbert were married in a religious ceremony in 0929.  They had a son and three daughters, named Henri, Alberade, Biltrude and Gerberga.


Gerberge of Saxony's second family with Louis IV d'Outre-Mer King of France

‌Gerberge of Saxony and Louis IV d'Outre-Mer were married in a religious ceremony in 0939.  They had five sons and a daughter, named Lothair, Louis, Charles, Henri, Charles and Mahaut.
