Hannah Hadley 
Hannah was born in County West Meath, Ireland.1 Hannah's father was Simon Hadley II and her mother was Ruth Keran Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Simon Hadley and Catherine Talbot; her maternal grandfather was Robert Miller and her maternal grandmother is Margaret Broithwaite or Berthwart. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Simon, Joshua, Ruth, Katherine, Anne and Deborah. She died on May 31st, 1783 in Cane Creek, Orange County, North Carolina. She was buried in Cane Creek Cemetery, Snow Camp, Orange County, North Carolina.1 General Notes

Founding Member of Cane Creek Monthly Meeting, North Carolina. Hannah's Manor House at Hillsboro, Orange County, North Carolina was confiscated by General Lord Cornwallis and used as his headquarters during the Battle of Guilford Court House in the Revolutionary War. She was instrumental in organizing the Cane Creek Meeting House on her farm as a center to support the American cause during the Revolution, thus offering passive resistance to the Tories. Hannah's son, Simon Dixon was killed defending his mill during the Revolutionary War.
