Emma Fitz Osbern 
Emma was born about 1056 in Breteuil,Eure,Normandy. Emma's father was William de Crepon Fitz Osberne 1st Earl of Hereford and her mother was Adelina Adeliza Alice Toeni. Her maternal grandparents were Roger I d'Espagne ('The Spaniard') Toeni Lord of Guerny and Godhilda Goodchild Adelaide of Barcelona. She had three brothers and a sister, named William of, Ralph of Cormeilles, Roger de and Alice de. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died in Outremer.General Notes

The most memorable event in the Revolt of the Earls in 1075 was the defence of Norwich by Ralf's new bride, Emma, where she withstood siege for three months after her husband had left to seek aid from the Danes. The fleet of 200 ships arrived too late to lift the siege. Of the Earls, Ralf made it to his Breton
