Hunydd verch was born about 1063 in Dyffryn Clwyd, Denbighshire, Wales. Hunydd verch's father was Einudd Gwerngwy ap Morein and her mother is Eva verch Llewelyn. Her paternal grandparents are Morien ap Morgan Gwerngwy and Gwenllian verch Rhys; her maternal grandparents are Llewelyn ap Dolphyn and Gwenllain verch Rhys. She had two brothers named Heilin ap and Ithel ap. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died in 1132.
They had four sons and a daughter, named Cadwgon ap, Madog ap, Gruffudd ap, Hywel ap and Dyddgu verch.
