David was born about 1080 in Scotland.1   David's father was "Longneck" Canmore, King Of Scotland Malcolm III and his mother was St. Margaret Aetheling , Queen of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were 'The Gracious' King Of Scotland Duncan I and Sibyl Of Northumberland of Northumbria; his maternal grandparents were Prince Edward "The Exile" Aetheling and Agatha von Braunschweig of Hungary. He had three brothers and four sisters, named "The Saint", King Of Scotland, I King of Scotland, KIng of Scotland, Mary, Matilda Edith, Princess Of Scotland and Thora.  He died on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England.  He was buried in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.2 2 


David's family
