Teunis was born on October 15th, 1730 in Brooklyn, Kings Co, Ny. Teunis' father was Hans Bergen and his mother was Rachel Benson (or Bensing). His paternal grandfather was Michael (Michiel) Bergen and his paternal grandmother is Femmetje Denyse; his maternal grandfather was Derick Benson (or Bensing) and his maternal grandmother is Catelyn Berg. He had three brothers and a sister, named Michael <Hans>, Derick <Han>, Hans <Hans> and Femmetje <Hans>. He had two half-siblings of unknown gender named Tiesje <Hans> Bergen (B 1711) Dy and Annetje <Hans> Bergen (B 1710) Dy. He died at the age of 76 on May 2nd, 1807.General Notes
