John Witt 
John was born in 1769 in , Bedford, VA. John's father was Lewis WITT and his mother was Anne MILLS. His paternal grandparents were William (Guilliame) WHITT WITT and Elizabeth Mildred DAUX; his maternal grandfather was William MILLS and his maternal grandmother is Mary. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Rowland, Jesse, Robert, Mills, Mildred, Agnes and Elizabeth Jane. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 39 in 1808 in , Bedford, Virginia.-
