Thomas Stringfield was born on September 1st, 1826 in Kingsport, Sllvn, TN. Thomas Stringfield's father was Lester WHALEY and his mother was Sarah BACON. His paternal grandparents were Robert WHALEY and Anna Tredwell; his maternal grandparents are Aaron BACON and Sarah. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Byer, Robert, Dewitt Clinton, John, Nancy, Mary and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
