Sarah was born on February 24th, 1832 in Kingsport, Sllvn, TN. Sarah's father was Lester WHALEY and her mother was Sarah BACON. Her paternal grandparents were Robert WHALEY and Anna Tredwell; her maternal grandparents are Aaron BACON and Sarah. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Byer, Robert, Thomas Stringfield, Dewitt Clinton, John, Nancy and Mary. She is the second youngest of the eight children.General Notes
