Robert I (The Bruce) was born on July 11th, 1274 in Writtle, , , England.  Robert I (The Bruce)'s father was Robert De Brus Of Carrick IV Earl and his mother was Margaret Carrick Of Carrick Countess.  His paternal grandparents were Robert De Brus The Competitor Of Annandale and Isabel De Clare; his maternal grandparents are Neil Carrick Of Carrick Earl and Margaret Of Scotland. He had five sisters named Isabel Bruce, Christina, Margaret, Mary and Maud.  He died at the age of 54 on June 7th, 1329.  He was buried in June 1329.
