Eckehard I was born about 0950. Eckehard I's father was Gunter Von Merseburg Margrave and his mother was Dubrawka Of Bohemia. His paternal grandfather was Echard II In Thuringia Count; his maternal grandfather was Boleslaw I Of Bohemia Duke and his maternal grandmother is Bolgene Of Stockou. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Boleslas I and Swietoslava (Sygryda). He died on April 30th, 1002 in Pohlde. He was buried in 1002 in Grossjena.-
