John Hamilton was born about 1525. John Hamilton's father was James Hamilton Of Arran II Earl and his mother was Margaret Douglas Of Hamilton Duchess. His paternal grandparents were James Hamilton Of Arran I Earl and Janet Beaton; his maternal grandparents were James Douglas Of Morton III Earl and Catherine Stewart. He had a sister named Barbara. He was the older of the two children. He died on April 6th, 1604. He was buried in 1604.General Notes
