Barbara was born about 1533. Barbara's father was James Hamilton Of Arran II Earl and her mother was Margaret Douglas Of Hamilton Duchess. Her paternal grandparents were James Hamilton Of Arran I Earl and Janet Beaton; her maternal grandparents were James Douglas Of Morton III Earl and Catherine Stewart. She had a brother named John Hamilton. She was the younger of the two children. She died in 1558. She was buried in 1558.-
