Patience was born in 1719 in Swansea, Bristol, MA. Patience's father was Melatiah Martin and her mother was Rebecca Brooks. Her paternal grandparents were John Martin and Joanna (Joan) ESTEN (EUSTANCE); her maternal grandparents were Timothy Cohansy and Mary Of Charleston. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Hezekiah, Daniel, Nathan, Melatiah, Timothy, Job, Jeremiah, Keziah, Ann and Rebecca. She died at the age of 51 on August 12th, 1770 in Swansea, Bristol, MA.-
