Melatiah was born on August 31st, 1673 in Swansea, Bristol, Mass. Melatiah's father was John Martin and his mother was Joanna (Joan) ESTEN (EUSTANCE). His paternal grandparents were Richard Martin and Judith UPHAM; his maternal grandfather was Thomas ESTEN and his maternal grandmother is Ann Thomas. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Ephraim, Robert, Manasseh, Ebenezer, Jemima, Ann, Manasseh, Joanna and Judith. He died at the age of 87 on January 30th, 1761 in Swansea, Bristol, MA.-
