Catherine was born in 1564 in , Charlton, Wiltshire, England. Catherine's father was Henry KNYVETT [SIR KNIGHT] and her mother was Elizabeth Stumple OR STUMP. Her paternal grandparents were Henry KNYVETT [SIR KNIGHT] and Anne PICKERING; her maternal grandfather was James STUMP [SIR] and her maternal grandmother is Bridget BAYNTON. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Wroughton, Frances, Margaret and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 69 in 1633. She was buried on September 12th, 1638.-
