William HASTINGS 
William was born about 1535 in Of Huntingdon, Berw, Scot. William's father was Francis HASTINGS [Earl of Hunting and his mother was Catherine POLE [COUNTESS OF HUN. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Francis, George, Walter, Edward, Francis, Frances Ann, Catherine, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary. He is the third oldest of the twelve children.
