His paternal grandparents are William De Douglas and Martha De Bruce; his maternal grandfather was Alexander Stewart Of Scotland IV High Steward and his maternal grandmother is Jean Macrory. He had two brothers and a sister, named James, William and Muriel. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died on July 19th, 1333 in Haldien Hill, Northumberland, England. He was buried in July 1333 in England.-
