Elizabeth was born about 1661 in , Fulwood, Lancashire, England. Elizabeth's father is Robert CLAYTON and her mother is Elianor ATHERTON. Her paternal grandparents are Thomas CLAYTON and Anne BLUNDELL; her maternal grandparents are John ATHERTON and Mrs-John ATHERTON. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Richard, Anne, Margaret and Mary. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died before 1713.-
