Geoffrey de Gaunt

Geoffrey was born in 1126 in Yorkshire, England. Geoffrey's father was Walter de Gaunt and his mother was Maud of Brittany. His paternal grandfather was Gilbert de Gant and his paternal grandmother is Alice de Montfort-sur-Risle; his maternal grandparents were Stephen comes Britanniae and Hawise de Guincamp. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert II, Robert, Baldwin, Alice and Agnes. He is the second youngest of the six children.
