Theodore Georg was born in 1720 in Verket, Lesja, Oppland, Norway. Theodore Georg's father was Reinhold Heinrichsen Ziegler and his mother was Annie Marie Jensdotter Flor. His paternal grandfather was Heinrich Ziegler; his maternal grandparents were Jens Olsen Flor and Brigitte Olsdatter. He had four brothers and a sister, named Johan Heinrich Reinholtsen, Jens Reinholtsen, Casper Reinhold Reinholdsen, Friedrich Christian and Birgitte Marie. He is the third youngest of the six children.-
