Birgitte Marie was born in 1723 in Verket, Lesja, Oppland, Norway. Birgitte Marie's father was Reinhold Heinrichsen Ziegler and her mother was Annie Marie Jensdotter Flor. Her paternal grandfather was Heinrich Ziegler; her maternal grandparents were Jens Olsen Flor and Brigitte Olsdatter. She had five brothers named Johan Heinrich Reinholtsen, Jens Reinholtsen, Casper Reinhold Reinholdsen, Theodore Georg and Friedrich Christian. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 55 on August 6th, 1778 in Lesja, Opland, Norway. She was buried on August 13th, 1778 in Lesja, Opland, Norway.-
