Johannes Jr. was born about 1761 in Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Johannes Jr.'s father was Johannes Wetzel and his mother is UNKNOWN Hannah. His paternal grandparents were Conrad Wetzel and Anna Catharine Bayer. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, Conrad, Henry, Johan Jacob, Johan Adam, Catherine, Anna Marie, Benigna, Elizabeth and Magdalena. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died on December 31st, 1816 in Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.-
