Johan George was born on September 3rd, 1791 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Johan George's father was Peter Wetzel and his mother is Anna Catharine. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Unknown, Johan Peter, Johan Henry, Joseph, Maria Elizabeth, Catherine and Anna Maria. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died in Wayne County, Ohio.-
