Ann was born in 1843 in Northend, Burton Dasset, Warwickshire, England. Ann's father was Thomas Walden and her mother was Sarah A. Hirons. Her paternal grandparents were Unknown Walden and UNKNOWN Mary; her maternal grandparents were John Hirons and Sarah Freeman. She had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Mary and Sarah Ellen. She was the oldest of the four children. She died after 1900 in Iowa.General Notes
