Lauris Amundson Stenehjem 
Lauris Amundson was born on August 30th, 1863 in Wilmington, Houston County, Minnesota. Lauris Amundson's father was Amund Asbjornson Stenehjem and his mother was Kari Olsdotter Qualey. His paternal grandparents were Asbjorn Peterson Stenehjem and Martha Larsdatter Stenehjem; his maternal grandparents were Ole Baardson Qualey and Gjertrude Olsdotter Arvoll. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Ole Amundson, Andreas Amundson, Peter Amundson, Johan Amundson, Martha Amundsdatter and Johanna Amundsdatter. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 37 on May 5th, 1901 in Cass County, North Dakota. He was buried in Norman Lutheran Cemetery, Normana Township,Cass County, North Dakota.General Notes
