Martin Henry was born on February 15th, 1858 in Roane County, West Virginia. Martin Henry's father was Henry S. Shaver and his mother was Rebecca Steed Neslrod Barnhart. His paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John A., Henderson, Hannah, Elizabeth and Amanda J.. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 71 on June 10th, 1929 in Jackson County, West Virginia.General Notes
