Casimir I Carol the Restorer of was born on July 25th, 1016 in Krakow, Poland.  Casimir I Carol the Restorer of's father was Mieszko II Lambert of Poland and his mother was Richenza (Rixa) of Pflaz-Lorraine Palatine.  His paternal grandparents were Boleslaw I Chobry the Brave of Poland and Emnilda of Silicia; his maternal grandparents were Ezzo of Palatine and Matilda of Saxony. He had a brother and two sisters, named Boleslaw of, Gertruda of and Ryksa Miciszlava of.  He died at the age of 42 on November 28th, 1058 in Poland.
