Her paternal grandparents were Otto I the Great of Germany and Adelaide (St.) of Italy; her maternal grandparents were Constantin Skleros and Sophia Phokas. She had a brother and three sisters, named Otto III of, Adelaide of, Sophia of and Othelindus of. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 47 on November 4th, 1025.-
