James Monroe Moore 
James Monroe was born in 1845 in Harper, Roane County, West Virginia. James Monroe's father was James J. Moore and his mother was Mary Catherine Shaver. His maternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John J., Henry, Wilson, Madison, William, Elias, Nancy Jane, Rhuanna, Mary Catherine and Lucinda.
