His paternal grandparents were Jean L'Argent and UNKNOWN Rachel. He had nine half-brothers and six half-sisters, named John, James, William, Lewis, Randall, Aaron, Abraham, Moses, Thomas, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann, Phebe, Sarah and Jane. He died in Montgomery County, Indiana.-
