Mary Mae was born on May 24th, 1910 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Mary Mae's father was William Harrison Knappenberger and her mother is Emma Jane Eck. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Henry Knappenberger and Leanda Hauser; her maternal grandparents were David Eck and Lovina Kline. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, William J. B., Blanche L., Ida E. L., Minnie Minerva, Elsie L. and Anna C.. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died after 1989.-
