His paternal grandparents were Vladimir (St.) the Great Swjatoslawitsch of Kiev and Rogneda von Polotzk; his maternal grandfather was Olaf III Skotkonung Ericson of Sweden and his maternal grandmother is Astrid of the Obotrites. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Valdimar (Holti) the Nimble of, Viacheslav of, Izyaslav I Dmitrij of, Vsevolod I of, Igor of, Anastasia Agmunda Yaroslavna of, Ellisif (Elizabeth) Jaroslavna of and Anna Agnesa Yaroslavna of. He had a half-brother named Elias of. He died on December 27th, 1076.-
