John Jefferson's father was John Huddleston and his mother was Sarah Butcher. His paternal grandfather is Henry Huddleston; his maternal grandparents were John Butcher and Elizabeth Critton. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Columbia, James M., Jasper, William, Elizabeth, Letitia, Peninah and Romancy. He died on November 7th, 1876.General Notes
