Earl Amasa was born on July 8th, 1883 in La Salle County, Illinois.  Earl Amasa's father was Amasa Owen Crosiar and his mother was Rosa Jane Gordon.  His paternal grandparents were Asa Crosiar and Louisa Holland; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Gordon and Susan Ann McDowell. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William Raymond, John Harrison, Lillian Leona, Nettie Mae and Faye. He had a half-sister named Thelma.  He died at the age of 67 on November 30th, 1950 in Pontiac, Illinois.  He was buried in Pontiac, Illinois.

‌Earl Amasa and Elsie were married in a religious ceremony in 1904.  They had three sons and a daughter, named Reuel Albert, George, Donald Martelle and Gladys.
