Gunhilda was born about 1020.  Gunhilda's father was Canute II the Great Sveynsson of Denmark and her mother was Emma of Normandy.  Her paternal grandparents were Sveyn I Forkbeard Haraldsson of Denmark and Sygryd Dumna Swietoslava of Poland; her maternal grandparents were Richard I the Fearless of Normandy and Gunnora de Crepon. She had a brother named Hardicanute Cnutsson of. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Sweyn Alfivason of, Harold I Harefoot of, Edward III the Confessor of, Alfred Atheling of and Godgifu (Goda) of.  She died on July 18th, 1038 in Adriatic Coast.
