Polly and Peter were married in a religious ceremony on June 22nd, 1849. They had a son and three daughters, named George H., Elizabeth, Zoria C. and Becky.

George H. was born on August 20th, 1857. He died at the age of 83 on January 16th, 1941. He was buried in Small woodland cemetary on hillside, Green Sulpher Springs, Summers County, West Virginia.
