Sarah was born on October 10th, 1832 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Sarah's father was William C. Underwood and her mother is Mariah J. Druien. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Hiram, Thomas, Jesse, William J., George W., Nancy, Celia, Mariah J., Ursula and Martha F.. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 83 on July 21st, 1916 in Buffalo, Larue Co. Kentucky. She was buried in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetary, Buffalo, Larue Co. Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
