George Alfred Underwood

George Alfred was born on March 3rd, 1879 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.¹ George Alfred's father is William A. Underwood and his mother is Ginsy Martin. His paternal grandfather was Abraham Hiram Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Mary Roark. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Rufus, Ollie, Ellis W., Matson, Maude Alice and Nora. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John Thornton, Thomas A., William H., Mary Jane, Sarah, Elizabeth G. and Nancy Ann. He died at the age of 74 on July 25th, 1953 in Louisville , Jefferson Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Red Hill Cemetery, Larue Co., Kentucky.¹¹

‌George Alfred and Lela Agnes were married in a religious ceremony on July 18th, 1908 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.¹ They had four sons and four daughters, named Homer N., William, Otis Howard, Howard, Sadie, Bernice, Marie and Dorothy.
