Florence Wyly was born in 1843.1 Florence Wyly's father was John William Henerson Underwood and her mother was Sabry Minerva Wyly. Her paternal grandfather was William Henderson Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Virginia O'Ferrall. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John James, Charles Walton, Helen Adelaide, Sarah Louisiana, Mary Cordelia, Ida Virginia, Wilhemia Bertha and Rosa Tallulah.
