Caroline Underwood 
Caroline was born in January 1852 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Caroline's father was Calloway Underwood and her mother was Mary Ann Oaks. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John R., Hiram Calloway,Rev., Green Berry, Calloway T., Robert T., Celia, Jane, Mary Ann, Nancy, Nancy E. and Harriet Susan. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 27 in April 1879 in Wakenda, Caroll Co. , Kentucky.1 General Notes
