Joseph Tillman was born on May 7th, 1872 in Atascisa Co. Texas.1 Joseph Tillman's father was Peter F. Tumlinson and his mother is Sarah Ann Berry. His paternal grandparents were Peter F. Tumlinson and Harriet West. He had two sisters named Mary Ann and Amanda L.. He was the youngest of the three children.
