David G. was born on October 11th, 1912 in Breckinridge Co., Kentucky.1 David G.'s father was George Washington Sosh and his mother was Hallie Mae Basham. His maternal grandparents were Abner Buel Basham and Emma D. Smiley. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Guthrie, Eula Mae, Dora Anna, Elza Jane, Mary Eva, Beva, Lura and Living.
