James Barton Snider 
James Barton was born on April 12th, 1901 in Moran, Shackelford Co., Texas.1 James Barton's father was Benjamin Smalley Snider and his mother was Margaret Jane Elliott. His paternal grandparents were John Snider and Rachel Smalley. He had a brother and a sister, named Benjamin Leroy and Willie Esther. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 77 on July 11th, 1978 in Abilene, Tyler Co., Texas.1 General Notes
