Susan Elizabeth was born on September 12th, 1857 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Susan Elizabeth's father was John Tyler Skaggs and her mother was Mary Jane Underwood. Her paternal grandfather was Moses David Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Larimore; her maternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Charles A., Lewis Byron, John Hamilton, Celia, Nancy Jane and Mary. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 49 on January 28th, 1907 in Umatila, Florida.1 General Notes
