John Eli Miles 
John Eli was born on December 2nd, 1881.1 John Eli's father was Samuel Dennis Miles and his mother was Susan Elizabeth Skaggs. His maternal grandparents were John Tyler Skaggs and Mary Jane Underwood. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James Mason, Albert Rufus, Edward Wood, Claudis Dewy, Sarah Augusta, Rosa Eula and Effie Florence. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 41 on June 3rd, 1923. He was buried in Tecumseh Mission / Cemetery, Pottatomie Co. Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
